The floor plan of this house is S-shaped; covered paths and a terrace form the connection between the different volumes. The open space between the built-up areas allows preserving the existing natural elements as much as possible. At the front, the view in the private areas is limited by setting up a bicycle storage, a covered carport and a closed garage. The carport is provided with a translucent façade, to avoid disturbing view from the street to the house.
This single-family home is conceived as a design that ‘nestles’ in the existing landscape; the house respects and ‘embraces’ the existing natural context. The house is conceived as a combination of a concrete structure and a light timber frame construction.
